Having a keen interest in providing holistic Sports Medicine Care with an interest in MSK Ultrasound, Injection Therapies, Sports Nutrition, Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation, Markus also has a keen interest in myofacial pain and muscular dysfunction. Markus has worked in the past as a Sports & MSK Physician for the Royal Air Force and the England Football Association. Covering the England Senior Mens Futsal Team (one of the fastest growing sports in the world) and part-time U18/U19 & U20 England Football Team he has a passion for working with sports. During the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games Markus worked as a Sports Medicine Doctor for Swimming, Diving, Waterpolo, Rowing and in the Athletes Village. Next to practical MSK & Sports Medicine he is interested in research and developing new ideas. Currently he is looking into the effects of stem cell treatments in musculoskeletal medicine.
In addition he completed an MBA from Bradford School of Management with distiction & a Certificate of health economics from London School of Economics with an focus in Innovation Management. Innovation can sometimes be to use the latest research into natural products and treatments, combined with newest technology and medical evidence.
Markus has a keen interest in innovation managment, investing, macro economics and is Non-Executive director of Healthcare Risk Mangement an integrated provider of all employee wellbeing. Additionally Markus holds an appoinment as Non-Executive director at Centrica Trust (No 1) Ltd.
